Madhepura MP Pappu Yadav arrested from his residence in Patna

Patna: The Patna Police, on Monday, arrested Madhepura MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav from his residence in Mandiri locality here.

He has been arrested in connection with an old case related to creating law and order problem near Kargil Chowk here on January 24.

Police took the action on Jan Adhikar Party-Loktantrik (JAP-L) patron after acquiring arrest warrant from the CJM's court, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kailash Prasad.

Police said that decision on Yadav's arrest was taken after he provoked his party workers to clash with it during a protest march towards the state assembly earlier in the day.
