Omar Abdullah tweets he, his family put under House Arrest

Former J&K CM Omar Abdullah on Sunday morning tweeted that the government had once again put him and his father under house arrest. He told that even those working at his house are not being allowed to come.

New Delhi: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah on Sunday morning tweeted resentment that the government had once again put him and his father under house arrest. He told that even those working at his house are not being allowed to come.

Please tell that Farooq Abdullah was going to go to Ganderbal today, while Omar Abdullah had a program in Gulmarg. With this, Mehbooba Mufti, former CM of Jammu and Kashmir and head of PDP, has not been allowed to visit Pulwama.

Annoyed at house arrest, Omar Abdullah, vice president of the National Conference, tweeted, "So this is the new Kashmir after August 2019." We have been imprisoned in houses without giving any reason. Unfortunately, he imprisoned my father, a sitting MP, in our homes. They have also locked my sister and her children in their homes.

Omar Abdullah writes on social media:

Omar Abdullah said, 'Let your new model of democracy means that we are locked in our homes without any reason. But even the staff working at home are not being allowed to come into the house. Not allowed to work and then you are surprised that I am still angry.

Earlier, PDP President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had also claimed on Saturday that before going to meet the family of Athar Mushtaq, one of the three terrorists killed in an alleged encounter in Parimpora area in December last year. She has been placed under house arrest.
