Odisha CM extends COVID19 Lockdown till April 30

The entire country has been kept under lockdown for 21 days due to Corona virus, which is to end on April 14. The lockdown in Odisha has been extended 5 days before the lockdown is over.

New Delhi: The entire country has been kept under lockdown for 21 days due to Corona virus, which is to end on April 14. The lockdown in Odisha has been extended 5 days before the lockdown is over.

With this, Odisha became the first state to increase the lockdown. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has extended the lockdown till April 30.

Human life is important:

CM Naveen Patnaik said after the cabinet meeting, 'At this sensitive point we have to take a decision between saving people's lives and bringing economic activities back on track. It was decided in the meeting today that saving people lives is our first priority at this time. In this phase the lock down has been extended till 30 April.

Appeal to PM Modi:

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik while appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that we would recommend the central government to extend the entire lockdown by 30 April. Apart from this, they will requested the Center not to start the service of railways and airlines before April 30.

Other states are also planning to extend the complete Lockdown after 14th April. UP CM Yogi Adityanath marked hotspots for now till Lockdown period. These hotspots in Uttar Pradesh hasbeen totally sealed by authorities.

Corona Updates:

Meanwhile, so far 5734 corona infected have been found in the country. The death toll from this virus has reached 166. According to the Ministry of Health, 773 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours.
