PM Modi, Jaitley knew country was being looted: Congress

New Delhi: Politicizing the mutilation of two Indian Army jawans, Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Monday asked whether any BJP leader would now send bangles to Prime Minister Narendra Modi?

Sibal was referring to Union Minister Smriti Irani, who wanted to gift bangles to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh following a similar incident during the UPA rule.

Sibal said, "A BJP MP wanted to gift bangles to then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh following a similar incident. I want to ask, what is her take now after Pakistan's barbaric act?"

Meanwhile, Congress leader Digvijay Singh still feels that India should continue dialogues with the neighbouring nation despite it killed an Indian soldier and a BSF trooper and mutilated their bodies across the Line of Control (LoC).

Recalling what the veteran BJP leader and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had said, the Congress leader said, "former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, saying: "We have to keep dialogue open with all our neighbours, because Atalji had rightly said that we can change our policies but not our neighbours."
