The petition of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren against the action of the Enforcement Directorate was heard in the Jharkhand High Court on Monday.

During this time, Hemant Soren has not received any relief from the court today. High Court Chief Justice Justice S. The bench of Justice Chandrashekhar and Justice Anubha Rawat Chaudhary sought a reply from the ED. The court has directed ED to file its reply by February 9. After this the court fixed February 12 for the next hearing.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had refused to hear Hemant Soren's petition and directed him to go to the High Court. Soren was arrested on Wednesday night in a money laundering case after resigning from the post of Chief Minister. The ED had arrested Hemant Soren on Wednesday after more than seven hours of questioning on money laundering charges related to the alleged land fraud case.

Ranchi's special PMLA court had on Friday sent Soren, arrested in a money laundering case related to an alleged land fraud, to ED custody for five days. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha member and senior advocate Kapil Sibal on Sunday alleged that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was 'fabricating' evidence to 'implicate' former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the case in which he has been arrested.

A special court in Ranchi on Saturday allowed former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren to participate in the trust vote in the state assembly on February 5. Soren argued before the court that he is a member of the Assembly and has the right to participate in the special session.
