Nigerian girl mercilessly beaten on road in greater Noida

Noida: Nigerian girl was pushed out of the auto and was mercilessly beaten by a group of local people in the Greater Noida on Wednesday.

The girl was immediately taken to the nearby hospital where doctor said that her condition is critical. The five accused were arrested by the police hours after the incident took place.

The police said, "We have arrested five accused who were involved in this incident. We are interrogating them."

It may be mentioned that this is the second case of violence against Nigerian student in three days.

The past incident:

  • Four Nigerian students, on Monday last, sustained severe injuries after a group of locals attacked them in Pari Chowk area of Noida.
  • A local group held a candle march protest demanding all Africans living in Greater Noida region vacate their rented houses immediately.

    Why was the protest organised?

  • Protest was carried out following the death of a intermediate class student, who lost his life due to drug overdose.
  • Five Nigerian students were also detained in connection with the incident.

According to the eyewitnesses, the deceased was last time seen spending his time with these nigerian students. Since that time he was missing.
