Mumbai: The new Indian cricket coach may be selected in a day or two. All formalities in this regard have been completed. The cricket advisory committee which was constituted for the purpose has interviewed all the short-listed candidates and will submit its final report to the BCCI on Friday.

Former captain Anil Kumble and two former cricketers Pravin Amre and Lalchand Rajput made their presentations before the committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman on Thursday.

After the presentation the committee members held a detailed discussion on the subject and decided that they would submit their report to the Honorary Secretary of the BCCI on Friday, a statement issued said.

Former Indian team director Ravi Shastri, who is the other high profile candidate was interviewed via video conference as he was away.

The BCCI had received 57 applications from both India and abroad for the post which was shortlisted to 21.
