National Unity Day: Inspired by Sardar Patel, India becoming fully capable says PM Modi

Prime Minister said that Sardar Patel used to see our country as one body. Therefore his 'Ek Bharat' also meant that in which everyone has equal opportunities and the right to have equal dreams.

New Delhi: On the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today paid floral tributes at the Statue of Unity in Kevadiya, Gujarat. Along with this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also remembered Sardar Patel during this period. The PM said that Sardar Patel resides not only in history but in the hearts of all Indians. Along with this, he said that Sardar Patel always wanted a strong, inclusive, sensitive India, the goal will be achieved if united.

Let us inform that today, on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the unity parade organized at the Statue of Unity through a video message.

On the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today paid floral tributes at the Statue of Unity in Kevadiya, Gujarat. Today, the Home Minister attended the National Unity Day celebrations near the 182 meter high statue dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Kevadia. Shah will also address the program. A parade was also organized on this special occasion.

The Prime Minister said that Sardar Patel used to see our country as one body. Therefore his 'Ek Bharat' also meant that in which everyone has equal opportunities and the right to have equal dreams. The PM further said that decades ago, even in that era, the strength of his movements was that they included men and women, every section. Today when we talk of 'One India', what should be its form? Women in India have more than one opportunity.

Along with this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India has started a journey on a new mission of 'Atma Nirbhar' to secure its interest. Along with this, we have to remember the saying of Sardar Patel that with common effort, we can take the country forward.
