After hectic poll campaigning, PM's helicopter en-routes to Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Nothing is more relaxing than being at home and after days of hectic schedule Prime Minister Narendra Modi too has chosen to visit his homeland, Gujarat, to get rest and start afresh. Though, the visit will not be completely an holiday for him.

The PM, who is known for not taking a single day of leave from office, will be inaugurating a bridge on Narmada River in Bharuch and to address a gathering afterwards.

PM Modi would be inaugurating a four-lane 1.4 km extra-dose cable-stayed bridge, which is the longest in the country and is expected to ease the pressure of traffic on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai National Highway, on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister himself shared the pictures of the bridge on his twitter handle and mentioned that the bridge will be dedicated to the nation.

PM Modi will also offer prayers at Somnath Temple during his two day visit.

Here is the complete schedule….

  • The PM will arrive in Surat at 1430 hours in the afternoon and will leave for Dahej.
  • The PM during his tour will also inaugurate a national convention of women sarpanch.
  • He would be attending the dinner hosted by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupanin at his residence in Gandhinagar.
  • The PM is also expected to spend the night at Rajbhawan in Gandhinagar.
