Weather Update: IMD issues heavy Rain alert in these States for next 5 Days

Weather Update: IMD issues heavy Rain alert in these States for next 5 Days

Rain Alert (PC: Newstrack)

Lucknow: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain in many states of the country for the next five days. According to the IMD, due to the Western Disturbance, there may be heavy rain in the Western Himalayan regions and adjoining areas of the Northwest for the next five days.

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with light to moderate rain may occur at isolated places over Odisha, West Bengal and Northeast India.

Monsoon 2021:

According to Skymet- Sikkim, some parts of Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, isolated parts of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, some parts of Coastal Karnataka and some parts of Tamil Nadu with heavy rain for a day or two Light to moderate rain may occur.

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of East Madhya Pradesh, South-East Rajasthan, South-West MP, Konkan and Goa and Gujarat region. Along with this, isolated light rain may occur over West Himalayas, Telangana and Interior Karnataka.

Rain Alert in Bihar, Haryana:

According to Skymet Weather, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Northwest Bihar and adjoining parts of East Uttar Pradesh. A Trough is extending from Punjab to Haryana, North parts of Uttar Pradesh, Northwest Bihar and adjoining East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal up to Northeast Bay of Bengal. The Cyclonic Circulation lies over South Bangladesh and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal. A trough is now extending from North Karnataka to South Kerala Coast.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is not likely to advance into Delhi and parts of Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab during the next seven days. The IMD said in a statement that the Southwest Monsoon has so far covered most parts of the country except some parts of Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. It said that the main feature of monsoon this year is advance of earlier than normal over East, Central and North-West India. However, it is not likely to move further into the rest of the country during the next seven days.
