Monsoon Update: Heavy Rain alert in Bihar-Jharkhand, IMD issues alert in these States

New Delhi: Monsoon has slowed down across the country. Northwest India including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab received scattered rain with thunderstorms on Saturday. Here, according to the Meteorological Department, people of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar will have to wait a little longer for the heavy monsoon rains.

However, Monsoon rains have started in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department says that it continues to pass through Barmer, Bhilwara, Dholpur, Aligarh, Meerut, Ambala and Amritsar. Heavy rain may occur in these places:

According to Skymet Weather, a private weather company, on Sunday, light to moderate rain with light to moderate rain may occur in eastern UP, parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal, coastal Odisha, Telangana and Andaman-Nicobar Islands. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Delhi on Sunday.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain may occur over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Western Himalaya, Southeast Rajasthan and Gujarat region. Apart from this, rain-related dust storm may also occur in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.

The Meteorological Department informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorms in Bihar. The Disaster Management Department has issued an alert regarding heavy thunderstorms accompanied by rain in many districts. The effect of rain has been seen in Bihar from now. Heavy rain has been predicted in Bihar in the next 72 hours.

IMD alert in UP:

Even after the onset of monsoon in Uttar Pradesh, only sporadic rains are being seen. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain and thundershowers in North-East UP. Rain is expected at places like Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shamli, Aligarh, Etah, Saharanpur, Mainpuri, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Kasganj etc.
