Monsoon arrives in Delhi: Heavy rain results in waterlogging in National Capital

New Delhi: The rainy season has finally started in the country's capital Delhi. It is raining in many areas of the capital since Tuesday morning. Due to this people have got relief from the sultry summer. At the same time, a drop in temperature has also been recorded.

Monsoon enters in Delhi:

Happiness can be seen on the faces of people regarding the rain. People say that after waiting for several days, Lord Indra has finally become kind. Due to the lack of rain in Delhi, the weather had become very hot. The temperature was continuously above 40 degrees. Due to this people were facing severe heat. The rain is expected to bring relief.

Let us inform that the Meteorological Department has given clarification on the continuously getting wrong forecasts regarding the monsoon in Delhi. IMD has described it as rare and unusual.

According to the IMD, in the last few years, the prediction of monsoon in Delhi was correct and the forecast of the department has also been correct for many parts of the country. IMD is continuously monitoring the situation and will continue to give regular updates about monsoon over rest of North West India including Delhi.

Heavy Rain alert in Delhi-NCR:

Earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted rain in many areas of North India on Monday. The department had predicted light to moderate rain in many areas of Delhi and NCR, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh and West Uttar Pradesh in the next two hours.

Accordingly, Southwest Monsoon has further advanced and spread over most parts of Rajasthan and Punjab and some more parts of Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh on 12th July. The Northern Limit of Southwest Monsoon (NLM) is now passing through Jaisalmer, Nagaur, Bharatpur, Aligarh, Karnal and Ganganagar.
