PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in his monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday. During this, he mentioned Captain Varun Singh, who was injured in the Tamil Nadu plane crash. Who later died in a hospital in Bangalore. The PM talked about the letter of Captain Varun Singh, which he had written for the children. Also, the PM remembered all those people including CDS General Bipin Rawat, who died in the accident.

PM Modi: Mann ki Baat

PM Modi said, 'My dear countrymen, during the war of Mahabharata, Lord Krishna had told Arjuna - 'Nabhah Sprisham Deeptam' means touching the sky with pride. This is also the motto of the Indian Air Force. Such was the life of Group Captain Varun Singh. Varun Singh also fought bravely for many days till death, but then he also left us and left. Varun Singh was flying the helicopter that crashed this month in Tamil Nadu. In that accident, we lost many heroes including the country's first CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife.

The PM further said, 'When Varun was in the hospital, at that time I saw something on social media, which touched my heart. He was awarded the Shaurya Chakra in August this year. After this honor, he wrote a letter to the principal of his school. He wanted that the life of the students of the school in which he studied should also become a celebration. After reading this letter, the first thought that came to my mind was that even after reaching the top of success, he did not forget to irrigate the roots. Second- that when he had time to celebrate, he cared for the generations to come.

'Talked about his failures'

He said, 'In his letter, Varun Singh did not describe his valor but talked about his failures. He talked about how he converted his shortcomings into abilities. Friends, the mantra given by him to become extraordinary from average is equally important, in this letter Varun Singh wrote that if he can inspire even a single student, then it will also be a lot. But, today I would like to say – he has inspired the whole country. His letter may only speak to the students, but he has given a message to our entire society.

PM Modi also talked about a video in which children of Greece are singing Vande Mataram. Regarding this, he said, 'Friends, you must be thinking that where is this beautiful video from, which country has it come from? The answer to this will increase your surprise. These students who presented Vande Mataram are from Greece.

PM Modi said in the program, 'Friends, I would also like to discuss a post of Nilesh ji, a resident of Lucknow. He has praised a unique drone show in Lucknow. This show was organized in the residency area of Lucknow. The testimony of the first freedom struggle of 1857 is still visible on the walls of the Residency. Different aspects of the Indian freedom struggle were brought to life in the drone show held here.
