New Delhi: Big news from Madhya Pradesh. Big accident in Katni. Big news coming from Narmada project. Nine laborers were buried after the tunnel's mud collapsed. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan swung into action as soon as the incident was reported.

Tunnel Collapses in Katni:

The accident took place on Saturday evening at Sleemnabad in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. It is said that around 7.30 pm, there was a stir due to the submergence of the soil of the tunnel of Narmada Valley Project. Work was going on in the tunnel at the time of the incident.

On the right bank of the canal, the construction work of underground tunnel was going on. SDRF started rescue work as soon as the information about the soil subsidence was received. Five rescued laborers have been admitted to the hospital. The search for four laborers is on. CM Chouhan has expressed grief over the accident and has given instructions for proper treatment of the injured. DM SSP and officers are camping on the spot. Immediately after the accident, the injured laborers were taken to the hospital by making a green corridor.

It is being told that the work of making a tunnel on the right bank of the Narmada Valley project was going on that suddenly orders have been given to investigate the accident of the tunnel. It is being told that the laborers are buried about nine meters deep. Advanced Life Support Ambulance has been pressed into service to take the injured to the hospital.
