New Delhi: The violent protests that started in Delhi against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) became very violent that 18 people died in the last two days, while hundreds were injured. Police has been ordered to shoot the heretics on sight. Apart from this, NSA( National Security Advisor) Ajit Doval did inspection of the situation in Delhi. There was a meeting with CM Kejriwal and police officials, including Home Minister.

Live Updates:

-The situation in the riot-hit northeast Delhi "is under control", National Security Advisor Ajit Doval said.

-Five Delhi Police IPS officers have been transferred amidst Delhi violence. Sanjay Bhatia has been made DCP Central

- IB officer Ankit Sharma's dead body found in Chandbag.

-Death toll reached 22 in Delhi violence

-Miscreants set fire to scrap Market in Gokulpuri.

10:58am- HC directs police to respond by 12:30 pm on plea related to FIRs against protestors.

10:55am- Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal responds to the violence, he tweeted and mentioned Amit Shah.

10:50am- The death toll rises to 20 and 200 injured.

10:15am- About 200 people, including 56 policemen are said to be injured.

10:10am- In protest against CAA, so called protestors vandalised market and set a shop on fire in Babarpuri.

9:30am- According to the police, things are now improving in Seelampur.

4:30 am- No incidents of violence have been reported in morning.

Shoot at sight:

The delhi Police ordered to kill miscreants at sight. This decision came after the violence started hurting common man's life. A constable was also died in this riot. Few people who were doing protest against CAA arrested by Delhi police. Section 144 also imposed in Delhi.

Doctors asked for security: High Court session in Mid Night -

The hearing took place at the residence of Justice S Murlidhar on an urgent plea seeking safe passage for the injured to medical institutions with adequate facilities. The Bench of Justices S Muralidhar and Anup J Bhambhani directed the Delhi Police to deploy all resources to ensure this.

The Bench also called for a compliance report, including information about the injured and the treatment offered to them. The matter will now be heard on Wednesday at 2.15 pm.

The Bench said the order be communicated to the medical superintendents of the Guru Tegh Bahadur and Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan hospitals in Delhi.

NSA Ajit Doval did inspection:

The NSA reviewed security arrangements, deployment of police personnel in North-East Delhi and discussed ways to restore normalcy in the region, sources said.

SN Srivastava becomes Special Commissioner:

The Home Ministry has appointed IPS SN Srivastava as Special Commissioner (Law and Order) in Delhi Police with immediate effect. He is currently posted as ADG in CRPF. Prior to posting in CRPF, he has been posted in several important positions in Delhi Police.
