New Delhi: Son of a Bihar’s ruling Janta Dal (U) legislslator who shot dead a young boy whose only crime was that he had overtaken his car was not taken kindly by the Supreme Court.

The brat, nicknamed, Rocky by his legislator mother Manorama Devi, who was arrested and jailed a few months ago for the killing was granted bail by the Patna high court last week.

The Supreme Court which heard the case, later, stayed the bail order. As such, he will have to go back to the jail . His release from jail had created panic in the victim’s family which feared the worst.

The latest order has provided much needed relief to the members. “ Now we can live in peace”, said a relaxed family member who would not like to be named for fear of retaliation.

The victim who was the only son of Sachdeva family in religious town of Gaya in Bihar, seven Km from Bodh Gaya where lord Buddha got enlightenment, was travelling in a car along with four friends. In his hurry to reach his destination he overtook the brat’s car.

It was too much for the politician’s son. He pressed the accelerator, overtook the boy's car ,asked him to stop and fired at him from a close range, killing him on the spot.
