Bihar Crisis: Lalu Prasad accuses Nitish Kumar of murder

Patna: Making serious allegations against Nitish Kumar, the RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Wednesday, said that former has been accused of murder and arms act and this was the only reason behind his resignation.

He said, "Nitish Kumar, who talks about zero tolerance against corruption, has a case under sections 302 and 307 against him. It was mentioned in poll affidavit Nitish presented during the 2012 elections."

"We were aware of the case since long but did not find it appropriate to disclose. Nitish Kumar knows about this so he tendered his resignation. He is aligning with the RSS. Everything was set," he added.

Addressing the press conference here, Lalu said, "Nitish Kumar didn't ask for any resignation from Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. He asked us to comment on corruption charges in public domain."

Lalu said that Nitish has done this in collusion with BJP and RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tweet soon after Kumar's resignation is a proof.

"Now let Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi stay out and the MLAs of JD-U, RJD and Congress should elect a new leader. Since we are the single largest party in the Assembly so the claim of legislative party leader goes with us," Lalu Prasad said.
