No Ganpati visarjan in Maharashtra:

No public gathering and Mumbai culture celebration will be allowed in time of corona pandemic. Lalbaughcha Mandal, one of the most famous Ganpati mandals of Maharashtra due to the epidemic, will not celebrate Ganapati Visarjan this time. This time the mandala will not immerse the statue, as the danger of corona spread.

Thackeray Govt orders Mandals not to celebrate Ganpati Utsav:

Maharashtra has been the most affected by the Corona virus in the entire country. Mumbai alone has seen the highest number of cases of corona. In view of this, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray ordered all the mandals not to celebrate Ganapati festival.

As a large number of people gather in Ganpati festival. Apart from this, he also instructed to keep the height of Ganesha idol up to four feet only.

Ganesh fest begins; devotees open heart, homes to welcome God

Only two idols in Mandals this year:

Following this order of the CM, the rest of the Ganapati mandals decided that this year two idols will be made.One big and one small idol. At the same time, only small idol will be worshiped. At the same time, Lalbagh is an idol of Raja Mandal. Since this idol is large, worship will also be done to the idol.

Officials of the Lalbaughchi mandal said, 'The length of the Ganapati statue could not be reduced. At the same time, even if a small statue is brought, only a large number of people will gather. In such a situation, neither will there be any idol nor will the idol be immersed keeping in view the safety of the people.'
