Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Kushinagar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. International aircraft from Sri Lanka to Buddhist monks have landed on the soil of Kushinagar. PM Modi will welcome the delegation from Sri Lanka here. From here the PM will reach the Mahaparinirvana site of Lord Buddha and address the Buddhist conference. At around one o'clock in the afternoon, the PM will go to the public meeting place and lay the foundation stone of the Government Medical College.

Kushinagar International Airport:

Along with this, various development schemes of Kushinagar will be inaugurated and the foundation stone will be laid. The PM will leave for Delhi at around 3'0 clock. This airport will allow Buddhists from all over the world to travel to the Mahaparinirvana site of Lord Buddha.

In the beginning of his address, PM Modi said that India is the center of reverence, faith and inspiration of Buddhist society around the world. Today, this facility of Kushinagar International Airport is in a way a wreath paid to his reverence. During the inauguration, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kushinagar MP Vijay Dubey were present from the district.


In Kushinagar, PM Modi said that in the next 3,4 years, efforts will be made to start the service of more than 200 helipads, seaplanes. Today more and more middle class people of India are taking advantage of air service. After Lucknow, Varanasi-Kushinagar, now work is being done at Jewar Airport at a fast pace.

The estimated cost of Kushinagar airport is Rs 260 crore. It will facilitate domestic and international pilgrims to visit the Mahaparinirvana site of Lord Buddha and is an attempt to connect Buddhist pilgrimage sites around the world. This airport will also benefit the adjoining districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Along with this, it will also help in increasing investment and employment opportunities in the area.

In the same program, BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia told that the direct flight from Delhi to Kushinagar will start from November 26. After that on December 18, flights from Kushinagar to Mumbai and Kolkata will be added.


According to news agency, an official said that Buddha Prasad made of black salt rice was distributed by the Participatory Rural Development Foundation (PDRF) to all the distinguished guests including 25 delegates and 100 Buddhist monks at the inauguration program of Kushinagar airport. will go.

Kushinagar is an international Buddhist pilgrimage site, where Lord Gautam Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana. Kushinagar is the focal point of the Buddhist circuit. This circuit also includes Lumbini, Sarnath and Gaya.
