Key Indian equity indices trade lower during early session

Mumbai: Key Indian equity market indices opened in the red on Friday following global cues.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 71.17 point or 0.23 per cent lower during the early session.

The BSE Sensex, which opened at 31,196.86 points, was trading at 31,142.19 points (at 9.17 a.m.) in the early session, lower 71.17 points or 0.23 per cent from the previous day's close at 31,213.36 points.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 14.50 points or 0.15 per cent lower at 9,632.75 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 31,200.56 points and a low of 31,120.22 points in the trade so far.
