BSE Sensex goes up on opening; NIFTY up by 0.26 per cent

Mumbai: Key Indian equity market indices opened in the green on Friday following global cues.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 142.91 points or 0.44 per cent higher during the early session.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 41.75 points or 0.41 per cent higher at 10,138.15 points.

The BSE Sensex, which opened at 32,247.74 points, was trading at 32,325.13 points (at 9.23 a.m.) in the early session, higher 142.91 points or 0.44 per cent from Thursday's close at 32,182.22 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 32,325.15 points and a low of 32,247.74 points in the trade so far.
