There is a possibility of large scale expenditure of cash in the Lok Sabha elections. To stop this, continuous steps are being taken by the Election Commission. In this regard, Guninadu Bellary police took major action and seized Rs 5 crore sixty lakh cash, three kg gold, 103 kg jewelery and 21 pieces of silver ingots. According to the information, the total value of the seized gold and silver is Rs 7 crore 6 lakh.

This operation has been done by Bruce Town Police of Bellary, it mainly involves hawala money. This money was found in the house of Naresh, owner of Hema Jewellers, in Kambli Bazaar and the accused Naresh is being detained and interrogated. The police have registered a case under the Karnataka Police Act. According to Bellary SP Ranjit Kumar Bandaru, this money belongs to Naresh Soni. Police said that we suspect hawala transaction. A case has been registered under section 98 of the KP Act. He said that after investigation the information will be provided to the IT department.
