Kanpur: In a shocking revelation, it has been reported that Pakistan's ISI was behind the November 20, 2016 Kanpur train tragedy in which over 140 passengers lost their lives.

According to a TV report on Tuesday, during interrogation, the suspect of the train tragedy has confessed that the derailment was conspired by ISI. The Pakistan intelligence agency had hired goons to plant the IED on railway track which caused the derailment of Indore-Patna Express.

The suspect claimed that the derailment was conspired as part of ISI's 'mission railway'.

A team of anti-terror squad (ATS) has already left for Motihari district in Bihar to further interrogate the suspect.

Fourteen coaches of the Patna-Indore Express had derailed at Pukhrayan, around 60 kms away from Kanpur.

The railways had announced ex-gratia of Rs 3.5 lakh to the next kin of the deceased while Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 compensation was announced for those having critical injuries and minor injuries, respectively.
