'Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan' to be built in Ghaziabad

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to build the Kailash Mansarovar in Ghaziabad. Decision regarding this was approved by the Uttar Pradesh cabinet, on Wednesday.

The UP cabinet has approved the transfer of land in Ghaziabad for construction of a Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan, to be used those undertaking the annual pilgrimage, an official said.

The 8,125 square metre land in Arthala village of Ghaziabad belongs to the municipal corporation and would be given free of cost for the purpose. The construction of such a building was one of the first decisions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after assuming office in March.

The cabinet also authorised Urban Development Minister Suresh Khanna to work on the modalities, including land use change. The land will be transferred to the Religious Works Department.
