Jammu-Kashmir: NIA raids at multiple locations related to a terror funding case

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday conducted searches at several places in Jammu and Kashmir. An NIA official associated with the investigation said that the agency, along with the CRPF, is conducting searches at several places in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

However, right now the officials are silent on sharing the information about the case.

NIA Raids in Jammu Kashmir:

A source in the agency said that the Anti-Terrorism Investigation Agency is conducting searches at the premises belonging to senior members of the banned terror outfit Jamaat-e-Islami. Searches are underway at at least 40 places. In recent days, the NIA has conducted searches at different places in two different cases and also arrested some people.

According to the information, at around 5 am on Sunday morning, the National Investigation Agency along with personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary forces conducted raids at different locations. It is reported that this raid is going on at the homes of people involved in anti-India activities.

Terror Funding Case:

According to the information received so far, this action is going on at the offices and homes of organizations and NGOs associated with Jamaat-e-Islami in different districts of Jammu division along with Kashmir. According to sources, along with digital evidence, other documents have also been recovered in this raid.

Let us tell you that a few months ago, a case was registered against Jamaat-e-Islami on the own report of the NIA. 5 SPs of NIA and close to 150 officers are involved in this raid. Raid is operating in Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri, Baramulla, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Kulgam, Budgam and Srinagar.
