After successfully Aditya Mission, and Chandrayaan-3, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) now plans to build space station.

ISRO chief Somnath said that the hop test of Chandrayaan-3 lander Vikram, bringing the propulsion module back from the Moon to Earth orbit and now placing the Aditya mission in Halo Orbit (Lagrange-1) are a part of the future preparations.

‘’We have to design the space station and operate it after installing it in space. Have to land on Mars. This is a very challenging mission. Apart from this, Indian astronauts have to be sent to the Moon by the year 2040. For this we have to acquire technology. Success in such missions increases confidence in future complex missions’’ he added.

He said that there was no benefit in making repeat satellites. ‘’We have to innovate. Have to bring new ideas. Therefore, technological advancement will continue. As technology advances, costs also reduce. Automation happens and most systems are automated. Artificial Intelligence (AI) develops and efficiency increases. A lot of automation has taken place in Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya missions. We will also get the benefit of this technological upgradation in remote sensing and communication satellites’’ he remarked.

The ISRO chief said that their work is such that it touches the heart. Chandrayaan mission is also a very emotional mission. Small children, youth or every citizen of the country became happy on the success of Chandrayaan-3. When we say that India achieved this feat by developing its own technology, we feel even more proud. Confidence increases that we too have the strength to carry out such complex missions. I am confident that this will attract children towards science and engineering and ultimately the country will benefit from it.
