STF sources told the media reports that security agencies had received information that two members of ISIS could enter India from the Bangladesh border and carry out some major incident.

The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police got a big success on Wednesday when Harish Farooqui, India Chief of terrorist organization ISIS, was arrested by the police from Dhubri. Along with Harish Farooqui, the police also arrested one of his associates.

The name of the arrested associate has been stated as Rehan. STF sources told the media reports that security agencies had received information that two members of ISIS could enter India from the Bangladesh border and carry out some major incident.

An STF team under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Parthasarathy Mahant had gone out on Tuesday evening itself to arrest the two. The team had received reliable information. Based on the information, a search was started in the area near the international border between India and Bangladesh. After crossing the border, the team successfully arrested the terrorists early morning in Dharamshala area of Dhubri.

In the statement issued by the police, it has been said that the arrested terrorist had conspired for terrorist funding and carrying out terrorist incidents at many places in India. He wanted to spread the network of ISIS in India. The police officer said that many cases are pending against him in NIA, Delhi, ATS and Lucknow and other places.
