New Delhi: A big shout out came when Doordarshan and All India Radio broadcasted the weather report of PoK cities. The Indian Meteorological Department reported the weather of Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad on Friday. The department has also started speaking in its report, calling the Jammu and Kashmir sub-division now 'Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad'.

Indians are praising this move of the department on social media, while Pakistan is not so happy with this activity.

According to IMD (Indian Meteorological Department), the cities of PoK are under the North-West Division of Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad IMD. The North-West Division of IMD has 9 subdivisions.

Pakistan Foreign Ministry responded and tweeted, "Pakistan rejects Indian move for “inclusion” of Azad Jammu and Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan in Indian TV weather bulletin. This is another mischievous Indian action in support of a spurious claim and further evidence of India’s irresponsible behaviour."

In this regard IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mahapatra also shared his thoughts and said, "'IMD has been issuing weather reports for the whole of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. We are referring to Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad in the bulletin because it is part of India. '
