After a brief 'Chai pe Charcha' two Nobel prize dignitaries said that Modi is more keen about scientific advancements and has a vision for its promotion in India as compared to Trump who doesn't understand the contribution of science towards the development of a nation.

The scientists said this while talking on the sidelines of 106th Indian Science Congress held at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar.

Israeli biochemist, Avram Hershko, who is a Nobel prize recipient of 2004, said to media 'Not all politicians understand science and its significance, I'm glad PM Modi is not like that. He understands that scientific advancement is a must for the progress of a country. I felt that after meeting him. I told him the importance of Basic Science and how investment in Basic Science is as important as Applied Science. PM Modi understands scientific importance way better than Trump who considers scientific investment a waste of money.'
