Indian Army guns down fourth Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist after gunbattle
Srinagar: Indian Army on Tuesday gunned down fourth heavily-armed terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit, foiling infiltration bid in general Zorawar, near Uri of Kashmir.
Army had killed three Pakistani terrorists in the same operation on Monday.
Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said: "A fourth terrorist was killed in the ongoing Uri operation on Tuesday.
"The body of the terrorist has been recovered and the operation is still ongoing."
The three Pakistani militants were killed by the security forces in the Kaghi forest area.
State Police chief S.P. Vaid said on Sunday that all the slain terrorists in this operation were planning a suicide attack.
They infiltrated into the Kashmir Valley from across the Line of Control (LoC), Vaid added.
