IMD predicts heavy rain & thunderstorm in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh

IMD has forecast rains in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and some areas of Puducherry. Apart from this, it is being said that moderate to heavy rains are expected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

New Delhi: The rains have departed from many parts of the country and the cold has also knocked in most states. But there is still possibility of rain in the southern parts. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rains in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and some areas of Puducherry.

Apart from this, it is being said that moderate to heavy rains are expected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Air quality in Delhi in severe category:

On the other hand, the weather in the national capital Delhi has not been clear so far. Air pollution continues to increase here. People have started having problems even breathing in the state. The air quality in Delhi is in an abnormal condition and pollution will remain in the 'severe' category even in the coming days. A central forecasting agency said on Tuesday that there is no possibility of pollution coming out of the 'severe' category.

Air Quality Index in worst position:

'Safar', the air quality monitoring center of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, said that these three factors are responsible for poor air quality in Delhi, the accumulation of secondary particles, slow wind speed and stubble burning. According to Safar, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) is very close to the severe category.

Safar said that due to the high humidity, humidity has reached new highs and the capacity of air stagnation in cold climates has increased, due to which the pollutants remain in the air.

Air in severe condition till Diwali:

According to reports, that the air can remain in such a severe category till 'Diwali' in Delhi. There is no hope of relief for the ever increasing air pollution. However, is a change in the direction of the wind, due to which the pollution related to stubble burning is expected to decrease.
