Lucknow: Many states of Bihar are getting cold. Delhi-NCR received heavy rainfall amidst the cold weather, which has changed. Thunderstorms continue with thunder in most areas of the country's capital. With this, the Meteorological Department (IMD) said that in many states including Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, there may be rain on January 3.

IMD forecasts rainfall in North India:

The Meteorological Department has said that rains are expected at many places including Rajgarh, Alwar, Dausa, Sonipat, Dadri, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Badaun, Modinagar, Mathura, Hathras, Jind, Panipat, Karnal. The Meteorological Department has said that light to moderate rains may occur in Khurja, Etah, Kishanganj, Amroha, Moradabad, Chandausi, Agra, Mathura, Noida.

According to the Meteorological Department, in most parts of North India, there has been rain in the middle of cold wave, while there is snowfall in the hill states. Himachal Pradesh has a temperature of minus 7.3 degrees Celsius.

Cold waves in North:

Most areas in Uttar Pradesh are experiencing severe cold and cold wave conditions. The Meteorological Department has said that there may be thunderstorms in eastern Uttar Pradesh on January 3, while there may be dense fog shade on January 4-5.

The Meteorological Department predicted heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, with which a yellow alert has been issued. The weather center of Shimla predicted rains in the plains of the state between January 3 and 5, while forecasting snowfall with rain in the middle and upper mountain areas.

The Meteorological Department said that the effect of western disturbance activated. Due to this, many areas including Delhi-NCR are receiving rains. There is a possibility of rain in the coming days as well. Due to this cold will increase further. There will be rain in many areas including UP and Haryana.
