New Delhi: Captain Varun Singh, who survived the recent Army helicopter crash accident, has passed away. The captain was fighting for life in the hospital for a long time, but now the captain has lost this battle.

The captain was in the same helicopter in which 14 officers including CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife were on board. 13 people died in that accident on the same day, in which Captain Varun Singh survived. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The captain belongs to the army family and his father was also in the army. The Captain's family has been serving the Army for a long time. The captain has also been in the army for many years and has been honored many times for his military work.

Group Captain Varun Singh was awarded the Shaurya Chakra on the occasion of Independence Day this year. He was given this honor for saving his LCA Tejas fighter aircraft during an air emergency in 2020.

Group Captain Varun Singh was a resident of Kanholi village in Rudrapur tehsil of Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. At this time Varun Singh was posted as Group Captain in the Indian Air Force and was the Directing Staff of Defense Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington, Tamil Nadu. Varun Singh's father Colonel KP Singh is also retired from the army. However, at present his family lives in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. However, at present he is posted in Wellington, Tamil Nadu.
