Health Ministry: Drop in corona cases, 66 percent cases are from only 5 States

New Delhi: Giving information about the cases of corona in the country, Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry, Luv Agarwal said that in the last 24 hours, about 1,32,000 new cases of corona have been reported.

Health Ministry on coronavirus:

For the last 8 days, less than 2 lakh corona cases are coming. Cases have come down by 68 percent. 66 percent of the cases are coming from 5 states. 33 percent of the cases are coming from 31 states.

There has been a steady decrease in districts reporting average daily new cases of more than 100. 257 districts are reporting more than 100 daily cases.

Along with this, he said that 22.41 crore vaccine doses have been given so far. In which mainly health workers, front line workers and people above 45 years of age are involved. The vaccine doses have been given to 2.43 crore people in the age group of 18 to 45.

NITI Aayog Health Member Dr VK Paul said that according to world statistics, the number of people who get at least one dose of Vaxi in India is 172 million. We have overtaken the US in terms of the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine.

The recovery rate of corona in the country is continuously increasing. At present, the recovery rate of corona is 93.1 percent.
