Lucknow: Expressing displeasure over the massive violence across Haryana over the conviction of Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in 15-year-old rape case, Pondicherry Governor Kiran Bedi on Friday raised questions on the competency of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The former IPS officer took to Twitter pitching for the need of courageous professionals to uphold the rule of law in the country.

According to the sources, the Centre is displeased with the Khattar government over the mismanagement of police personnel in the state which has led to the loss of 30 lives and has left over 250 injured.

Kiran Bedi seemed to be taking a dig at the Centre's movement of establishing a 'New India' through her tweet.

It may be mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has often been speaking about setting up a 'New India' by 2022. He has also been inspiring his cabinet leaders as well as BJP MPs to work hard to achieve the goal by the given period.

Ironically, Khattar did not have any administrative experience before being named the Chief Minister of Haryana.
