PM Modi also launched the country's largest cancer institute at Bhadsa in Haryana's Jhajjar district and the ESIC Medical College and Hospital in Faridabad. The cancer institute was constructed at a cost of around Rs 2,035 crore and has 710 beds and around 800 rooms.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, during his public rally in Haryana's Kurukshetra said that those who are corrupt holds animosity against me. Mr. Modi also launched several development projects and laid the foundation stones of five projects, including three of the health and Ayush ministries, there.

Modi also presented the Swachh Shakti awards to women for their efforts towards the Swachh Bharat Mission. Around 15,000 women are expected to participate in this year’s Swachh Shakti event.

Highlights of the event:

-With Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, the population of girl child has increased. With the Ujjwala Yojana, sisters are now free of smoke: Modi

The National Nutrition Mission and Prime Minister's Safe Maternity Campaign has reduced threats to the lives of pregnant women: Modi

-We have been the first government to impose death penalty for rapes: Modi

-The Pradhanmantri Awas Yojna has given houses to people: Modi

Women get to register their names for houses, that is being given priority: Modi

-Daughters are being encouraged to contribute beyond the kitchen: Modi

-We have got our first female fighter pilots in the country: Modi

-For women to take care of their newborns, we have extended maternity leaves from 12 to 26 weeks: Modi

-Approximately 75% of the 15 million loans are loaned to female entrepreneurs: Modi

-About Six crore women have been joined by self-help groups under the Din Dayal atayoday scheme: Modi

-More than Rs. 75 crore of loans have been provided to such self help groups: Modi

-In about 70 years of independence, the scope of hygiene was nearly 40%. It has reached 98% today: Modi

-More than 10 crore restrooms have been created in the four and half years: Modi

-Five lakh villages in 600 districts have freed themselves from defecation in open: Modi

-Be it poor health or a middle-class family, the Government is widely making efforts: Modi

-Be it the network of large hospitals, be it 1.5 lakh wellness centres across villages or be it Ayushmann Bharat that provides free treatment, we are working towards all these: Modi

-The government is spreading a hospital network speedily. Twenty-one AIIMS have been operating in the country, or work is being done for their construction. From these, work on fourteen AIIMS have been started after 2014: Modi

-With this, the youth will also get employment through the projects: Modi

-All these projects will bring prosperity to the lives of people of Haryana: Modi

-Modi gave Haryana Country's largest cancer institute at Bhadsa in Haryana's Jhajjar district and the ESIC Medical College and Hospital in Faridabad. The cancer institute was constructed at a cost of around Rs 2,035 crore and has 710 beds and around 800 rooms.

-Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Shri Krishna Ayush University in Kurukshetra. The project is spread over 94 acres and will be built at an estimated cost of about Rs 475 crore.

-PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of Pundit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health in Karnal and National Institute of Ayurveda in Panchkula.

To accompany PM Modi Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation Uma Bharti, Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya, and Chief Minister Manohar Lal were also present at the event.
