Gurugram murder | SC to hear Pradhuman father's plea

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to Centre, HRD Ministry and Haryana Govt seeking report in Pradyuman murder case within three weeks.

The notice has been issued by the apex court while hearing a plea filed by the father of student murdered in Gurgaon's Ryan International School seeking a CBI probe into the incident.

A bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice D.Y. Chandrachud heard the matter at 1245 hours.

Besides seeking the Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the murder of seven-year-old Pradhuman last week, Varun Chandra Thakur, the victim's Father, has also sought the framing of guidelines to make schools accountable in cases related to safety of children.

It may be mentioned that on September 8, Pradhuman, a Class 2 student, was found dead on Friday by a school staffer in the washroom with his throat slit. The boy had reached the school in the morning, and within an hour he was found dead.

The boy’s family resides in Maruti Kunj Society in the same area. Pradhuman’s father is a senior executive with an export house in the Kherki Daula area. His sister is a Class 5 student in the same school.
