Goods train runs over sleeping migrants in Aurangabad

New Delhi: Accidents are also going on in the country amid Corona crisis. A heartbreaking accident occurred in Maharashtra on Friday, after which the whole state was stirred up. Here the train passed over the migrant laborers sleeping on the track of the train, due to which they died. The accident took place in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra.

The case happened at the Jalna Railway line of Aurangabad in Maharashtra district, where 15 workers sleeping on the tracks were killed near the flyover here today. It is being told that when the migrant laborers were sleeping, then the train passed, they died on the spot. Apart from this, four workers were seriously injured in this accident.

The Chief Public Relations Officer of South Central Railway informed that an accident took place near Karmad in Aurangabad, where a vacant wagon of the goods train had run over some people. RPF and local police are present on the spot.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the train accident in Aurangabad and also tweeted, "Extremely anguished by the loss of lives due to the rail accident in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Have spoken to Railway Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and he is closely monitoring the situation. All possible assistance required is being provided."
