From 12th Fail to IPS Officer: The Inspiring UPSC Journey of Bajrang Yadav

Bajrang Yadav's path to becoming an IPS officer is nothing short of extraordinary. Facing setbacks, tragedies, and the weight of family expectations, Yadav's story mirrors the struggles of many aspirants in the competitive world of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination.

**The Dream that Transcended Generations**

Like the Bollywood character Manoj Kumar Sharma in "12th Fail," Bajrang Yadav hailed from a family of farmers in Uttar Pradesh. However, Yadav was the first to dream beyond the green fields. His father planted the seed of ambition, envisioning a future where Yadav would bring positive change to their community as a district collector.

**A Humble Beginning**

Yadav's journey commenced with a humble beginning in Basti district. Unaware of UPSC during his childhood, he discovered the significance of civil services in managing development projects and law and order responsibilities. This revelation fueled his determination to become a district collector, easing the struggles faced by his community.

**Fighting the Odds in Mukherjee Nagar**

Leaving behind the familiarity of his village, Yadav ventured into Delhi for UPSC preparation in 2019. The hurdles began with the financial strain of coaching institute fees. His father, a farmer, sold the wheat crop to fund Yadav's coaching. Living frugally in a three-sharing room in Mukherjee Nagar, Yadav's dedication to his goal was unwavering.

**Pandemic, Tragedy, and Perseverance**

The pandemic forced a shift to online classes, and tragedy struck as Yadav's father was murdered just 45 days before the UPSC prelims. Determined, Yadav stayed in Delhi, focused on his preparation, and cleared the prelims. Emotional turmoil continued with the loss of his paternal grandfather, but Yadav forged ahead, clearing the mains in 2022.

**Learning from Setbacks**

Yadav's journey wasn't without academic challenges. Overconfidence led to a failure in the second attempt. However, with resilience and a revised approach, he triumphed in his third attempt, securing his place in the IPS. Amid personal tragedies and emotional conflicts, Yadav's belief in the journey overpowered the setbacks.

**The Biggest Exam: Life**

Reflecting on his journey, Yadav emphasizes that life's daily challenges are the true tests. His role model, IAS officer Varun Baranwal, inspired him, proving that overcoming day-to-day adversities is the ultimate examination. Yadav's story resonates with the belief that failures are steps toward the ultimate goal.

Bajrang Yadav's journey exemplifies the essence of perseverance, dedication, and resilience. From a 12th fail student to an IPS officer, his story inspires aspirants to navigate life's challenges with unwavering determination. The UPSC journey, dotted with failures and triumphs, ultimately led Yadav closer to his goal.
