Fourteen lives were lost in order to save one in Chhatisgarh

Raipur: Fourteen lives were lost to save one. This may sound strange but it is only true.The incident occurred in Balrampur district of Chhatisgarh on Wednesday night. It is already a talk of this town.

The story is like this:

• A private bus carrying 65 passenger was passing through a bridge when the driver saw a motorbike approaching from an opposite direction. In trying to save the biker the driver lost control and the bus fell into the nullah on which the bridge was constructed.
• It led to killing of 14 passengers and injury to 15 others, some of them seriously.
• The bus was going to Raipur from Gharwa in Palamau district of Bihar. The tragedy occurred in between the two places , at Daldhowa Ghat. Of the total, a few passengers died on the spot . The injury was caused due to fall and overturning of the bus.
• The injured have been admitted to Sarguja and Bilaspur government hospitals. As many as 12 others who suffered minor injury have been discharged after treatment.
