Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai has urged the youths to keep away from the foreign culture and instead follow the ancient Indian values.

Speaking at an event organized at Kandora village in Jashpur district, he said that there is nothing greater than serving our parents, hence we all should touch the feet of our parents every day and seek their blessings and pay obeisance to them.

If they keep you happy then life will be successful. The Chief Minister also announced to celebrate February 14 as Mother-Father Worship Day in Chhattisgarh.

The chief minister said that his Guru had said that parents are greater than God. Mother gives birth. She nurtures her child after being keeping him in the womb for 9 months. If the parents are not happy then all the worship is in vain. Even in the Vedas, the position of parents has been described as supreme. Giving examples from religious stories, the Chief Minister underlined the importance of parents and appealed to all the sons and daughters to keep their parents happy, seek their blessings and respect and honor them.

Explaining the importance of parents, he talked about taking their blessings and staying away from western culture to serve their parents and make them proud. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, after participating in the mother-father worship program, while remembering his parents with emotion, said that after the shadow of his father was gone from his head in his childhood, he saw the form of father and mother in his mother. and continued receiving his blessings.

He said that even today he touched their feet and take blessings. ‘’I feel that the position where I am today, being the Chief Minister, is due to the blessings of my parents,’’ he added. The children participating in the program worshiped their parents as per rituals and also took a pledge to serve their parents. The children greeted Chief Minister Sai and other guests on the stage and received blessings.
