Chhattisgarh government will develop five ‘Shaktipeeths’ on the lines of char dham.

State Culture Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal, while discussing with the officials about the construction of a grand corridor to develop the Rajim temple complex like the grand corridor built in Ujjain (Mahakal Corridor Ujjain) and Banaras (Kashi Vishwanath Corridor), said that the Rajim temple complex to develop Rajim Mandir Parisar in a grand, attractive and dignified manner, the work of making a concept plan for building a corridor should be started.

Brijmohan Aggarwal discussed with the officials about the preparations for Rajim Kumbh and its systematic organization and directed the tourism, endowment and culture departments to work together for the grand event of Rajim Kumbh.

The minister asked to develop important religious centers of faith of Chhattisgarh under the Shaktipeeth project on the lines of Chardham Yatra. He also said that Kudargarh of Surajpur, Chandrahasini Temple of Chandrapur, Mahamaya Temple of Ratanpur, Bamleshwari Temple of Dongargarh and Dantewada. Under this scheme, an action plan should be prepared for the development of various facilities in Danteshwari temple and work should be done to develop the facilities in a phased manner.

The Culture Minister directed the officials to develop Bhuteshwar Mahadev of Gariaband district, Jatmai Ghatarani Falls, Shivmahapith, Sirkatti Ashram and Kopeshwar Mahadev of Kopra as trial circuit.

The Culture Minister has said that a grand Kite Festival should be organized on the day of Makar Sankranti (Makar Sankranti 2024) in the Purkhauti Muktangan complex of the capital Raipur. For this, kite flyers from the state as well as other states should be invited. To give a grand and attractive look to the Kite Festival, songs and music should also be organized by folk artists for the spectators and common citizens.
