New Delhi: A minor fire was reported at the Prime Minister's Office in South Block during the wee hours of Tuesday morning, said the sources.

The fire, which erupted at 3.35 am in Room no 242 on the second floor of the PMO, was soon brought under control. The officials immediately sent out ten fire tenders to douse the fire in nearly 20 minutes.

"At around 3.35 am we got a call in our control room that a fire broke out in PMO's office, room number 242," Divisional Fire Officer Gurmukh Singh said.

The fire broke out due to sparking in a computer's UPS. The officials have confirmed that no casualties or damage to official records has taken place in the fire.
