Fire breaks at medical store, eight killed

Mumbai: Eight people were killed and many other injured when a medial store went up in flames in the early morning on Thursday in a chawl in Juhu lane, Andheri west, officials said.

The incident:

• The fire officials have yet to ascertain the cause of fire.
• The fire, however, could be controlled in one hour but not before five persons had died of suffocation.
• The injured were admitted to hospital.
