New Delhi: Every 15 minutes, a car is either snatched or stolen in the national capital, a fresh police study says.

According to the reports of a survey conducted by the Delhi police, almost 100 vehicles were theft on each day of the last month.

“There has been a drop of 13 per cent in the number of stolen vehicles recovered by the police. The spurt is, however, owing to the increase in the number of vehicles and lack of parking places,” said a senior police official.

It may be mentioned that the survey says one-sixth of the vehicles are stolen from east Delhi.
