New Delhi: On the occasion of India's 74th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country from the Red Fort today. On this occasion, the Prime Minister while referring to Jammu and Kashmir said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that the representatives of the local units in Jammu and Kashmir are moving forward a new era of development with activism and sensitivity.

Today, on the occasion of Independence Day, PM's speech also indicated the early assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

A milestone in development Chapter for Jammu Kashmir:

PM Modi said in his address that this year is the year of a new development journey of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Jammu and Kashmir had got independence from 370 in one year ago. This year has been an important milestone in the new development journey. He said that this year is a year of rights for women and Dalits in Jammu and Kashmir.

PM Modi speech on Independence Day:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the 'Ayushman Mission' has been delivered door-to-door in Jammu and Kashmir. In Jammu and Kashmir, all such developmental schemes are being carried out on the ground. He said that local panchayats and units in Jammu and Kashmir are progressing sensitively. He also said that the local units are participating in the activism of Vikas Yatra.

PM Modi said that the country is also committed to hold elections in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that we also want Jammu and Kashmir to get its own MLA, meet its ministers and meet its government.
