New Delhi: According to the Meteorological Department, Tauktae will turn into a severe cyclone in the next 24 hours and very severe after that. It will turn towards Porbandar in Gujarat between the afternoon of 18 May and towards Pakistan. During this period, it is expected to wreak havoc on Porbandar and Nalia coast.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the Tauktae storm will pass between Porbandar to Mahua in Bhavnagar. On the other hand, Mumbai has issued an alert for heavy rains with strong winds.

Alert issued in Mumbai:

There is a possibility of submergence and submergence in the remaining coastal districts of Gujarat by 0.5-1 meter wave.
