Coronavirus: Single-day rise of 45,892 new COVID-19 cases

New Delhi: During the last 24 hours, 45,892 new cases were reported in the country and 817 infected people died. This figure has been released by the Union Health Ministry this morning. At the same time, the figure of corona vaccination across the country is 33,81,671.

From January this year, the campaign of corona vaccination was started across the country, under which a total of 36,48,47,549 doses have been given so far.

So far, the total number of corona infected in India is 3,07,09,557 and the number of people who died due to this pandemic is 4,05,028. Recently, the country faced the wrath of the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic and now there are signs of recovery from it.

However, with the arrival of new variants of this deadly virus, possibilities are being raised about the third wave.

Active Cases at 1.5 per cent:

According to the ministry, at present the total number of active cases of corona in the country is 4,60,704, while the number of people who have recovered so far is 2,98,43,825. The current active cases account for 1.5 percent of the total infection cases. At the same time, the recovery rate of infection in the country is 97.18 percent.

Talking about the rate of infection coming every day, according to the ministry it is 2.42 percent. It has been emphasized by the Ministry of Health that 70 percent of the deaths were due to comorbidities i.e. diseases like sugar, blood pressure already in the infected.
