Coronavirus: Single day rise of 35,178 COVID-19 cases, 440 fatalities

New Delhi: The cases of corona infection in India have increased again after a day of decline. A day earlier, the lowest number of corona cases were reported in five months. Now the latest data released by the Ministry of Health has been released on Wednesday morning.

35, 178 New Corona Cases:

According to the ministry, 35,178 new corona cases reported in the last 24 hours and 440 infected people have lost their lives. At the same time, 37,169 people have also been cured of corona in the last 24 hours across the country, that is, 2431 active cases were reduced yesterday.

A total of three crore 22 lakh 85 thousand people have been infected since the beginning of the corona pandemic. Out of these, 4 lakh 32 thousand 519 people have died. The good thing is that so far 3 crore 14 lakh 85 thousand people have also been cured.

The number of corona active cases in the country is less than four lakhs. A total of 3 lakh 67 thousand people are still infected with the corona virus, who are undergoing treatment.

Corona in India:

With the arrival of 21,613 new cases of corona infection in Kerala on Tuesday, a total of 37 lakh 3 thousand 578 people have been confirmed infected in the state so far. 127 people have died due to infection.

A total of 18,870 people have died due to infection in the state so far. Of the new cases of infection, 92 are health workers, 92 have come from outside the state, 20,248 people have become ill due to contact with the infected, while the source of infection of 1181 people is not known.

Vaccination:

The Union Health Ministry said, till August 17, 56 crore 6 lakh corona vaccine doses have been given across the country. Last day 55.05 lakh vaccines were administered. At the same time, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 49 crore 84 lakh corona tests have been done so far. About 17.97 lakh corona sample tests were done on the last day, whose positivity rate is less than 3 percent.
