Coronavirus: Single-day rise of 2,34,281 infections, 893 fatalities

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 2,34,281 new cases of corona (Covid-19) have been reported in the country and 893 patients have died. During this there is also good news, where 3,52,784 people have been successful in defeating this disease. With this, a big improvement has been seen in the number of active cases in the country. Now the number of active patients in the country has reached 18,84,937.

A day earlier this figure was beyond 20 lakhs. The Indian Council of Medical Research has said that 16,15,993 sample tests were done for Coronavirus in India on Saturday.

So far 4,10,92,522 cases of covid-19 have been registered in India, out of which 3,87,13,494 patients have been cured and 4,94,091 infected have died. Till this time, a total of 72,73,90,698 sample tests have been done. At present, the daily positivity rate is 14.50% and the weekly positivity rate is 16.40%.

The current recovery rate in the country is 94.21%. At the same time, the vaccination campaign against the corona pandemic is also going on in the whole country. So far, more than 165.70 crore vaccine doses have been administered to the people. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has told that so far 75 percent of the eligible people in the country have received both doses of corona vaccine.

Corona in UP:

In the last 24 hours, 8,338 new cases of corona virus were reported in Uttar Pradesh, after which the total cases increased to 20,25,245. After the death of 25 more people in the state, the death toll has increased to 23,164. According to a bulletin issued by the UP government on Saturday, Lucknow has the highest number of 1,705 new cases. According to the bulletin, 59,601 patients are undergoing treatment for infection in the state while 19,22,480 people have become free from infection.

In Kerala on Saturday, new 50 thousand 812 cases of corona have increased the tension. The number of cases reported every day in the Ernakulam district of the state has reached 11,103. Apart from this, 8 deaths were also recorded in the state within 24 hours.
